NOVEMBER AVAILABILITY Additions to our online availability will upload on November 1st. These varieties include some of our most requested and rarest roses and have been put in production this year to fill custom root orders. Many of these will not last long. For a complete list of these varieties, download our new Autumn 2008 Newsletter.
OUR AUTUMN 2008 NEWSLETTER can now be downloaded from the website. We’ve worked to make this as small a document as possible for ease of opening and enjoying. Find out about the history of Vintage Gardens, The Friends of Vintage Gardens, and some of Gregg’s favorite roses.
Without Vintage….We face a challenge keeping open the doors of Vintage Gardens. The economic difficulties that all Americans face have begun to filter down to businesses, and we see a decline in sales as folks reevaluate their priorities. We know how important our collection of historic and classic roses is to all of you and want to keep going. Our efforts over the next 8 months will focus on finding the path to continue. However if we cannot garner the support we need in sales, we will not start a new season of plants in June 2009, and Vintage Gardens will close.
Response from you has been phenomenal during October and we thank you for the hundreds of letters and emails expressing support for what we do, and in appreciation for the importance of our collection and our work to preserve old and forgotten roses!
Custom Root ordering will not be accepted during the month of November, as we determine how we can continue to offer this service. All existing orders will be confirmed this autumn.
